In a Soldier’s Shoes” to host Beer Pong Contest at Bratwurst Festival

BUCYRUS OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)– The Bratwurst Festival's Saturday afternoon at VFW Post 1078, 235 E. Galen St., offers a lively atmosphere for festival-goers. This year, the “In A Soldier’s Shoes” Foundation introduces a beer pong contest, with teams competing for a WWE-style Championship belt. Registration is $50 per team, with proceeds benefiting the foundation's mission to support veterans.

Founded by Zack Weilnau, Brien Conrad, and Kayon McDonald, the foundation began as a Kappa Sigma fraternity project at Ashland University. It aims to aid veterans, particularly in rural areas like Ashland and Crawford County, by providing essential items like footwear. Weilnau's company, Pride Slides, offers unique shoe designs, including tennis shoes featuring the Amvets logo.

The beer pong contest starts on Saturday, August 16th, at 2 PM, featuring prizes like six guns, gift baskets, and door prizes. “We are humbled to give back to those who have sacrificed for our freedom,” the group stated.

Join the fun and support a worthy cause at this year’s Bratwurst Festival!
